In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the number of incurable patients has doubled since February 2022. The number of calls to mobile palliative care teams has tripled. Currently, there are 33 patients in the hospice, which is designed for 30 beds. The greatest burden is experienced by mobile teams that go to patients ' homes, and by the end of February they served up to 60 patients.
Irina Slugotskaya, director of the regional palliative care center, said that the institution is fully provided with some of the medicines. But there are drugs that are not enough, for example, for neuropathic pain. The hospice is also developing an electronic database that will include information about all palliative care facilities, including those destroyed and closed due to the fighting.
