In 7 of November a 5-day training on "Psychological support and spiritual care of palliative patient" is starting at the Training Center of Palliative Care Center. In the study 25 people came from the following cities: Vinnytsia, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, Ternopil region Chortkiv, Molodiya Chernivtsi region, Smela Cherkasy region, Pershotravnevsk Dnipropetrovsk region, Dubno Rivne region, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk. Education was held with the support of the "Public Health" International Renaissance Foundation.
The training program involves the following questions:
1. Basic concepts of palliative care. The philosophy of palliative care.
2. The role of nursing in palliative care.
3. Problems patient associated with the incurable disease and end of life. Interdisciplinary assessment of a patient in palliative care.
4. Working in multidisciplinary teams.
5. Social and ethical issues of palliative care at home.
6. The role of communication in palliative medicine.
7. Barriers to communication. Forms and methods of communication.
8. Main approaches to psychological help palliative patients.
9. Syndrome of emotional burnout. The main definition. Occupational stress. The concept of job satisfaction. The principles of treatment and prevention of burnout in palliative service workers.
10. Personality of crisis. Elements of existential psychotherapy.
11. Notification bad news.
12. Ethical aspects of end of life. Spiritual care. Psychological support during the mourning.
