Thematic improvement occurred for children's doctors of different specializations on the theme "Some questions of the organization and provision of palliative care to children." It was the first time in Ukraine.
This study was conducted educational-methodical division of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center of Palliative Care and the Department of Pediatrics postgraduate Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University as part of their cooperation.
The main purpose of this event was the implementation of the first steps for the development of pediatric palliative care. Education was held from 03/10/16 to 13/10/16, with the support of Foundation help incurable patients "Mother Teresa" and program initiatives "Public Health" International Fund "Renaissance".
To conduct this important thematic improvement were invited as highly qualified specialists in the direction of children's diseases and towards palliative care.
Pediatricians, pediatric neurologists, pediatric oncologists and onkohematolohy, a children's neurosurgeon, the organizers: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ivano-Frankivsk - have been trained.
They also visited a photo exhibition of documentary photographer Russya Aseeva "The right to live without pain ..." and a charity performance "History Philotheus cat", which was held during the fundraiser for children's hematology department of the Regional Children's Hospital. They gave 500 USD for seriously ill children. After graduation, the students all noted the high level of training received educational materials on discs and corresponding certificate University.
