Photo exhibition Russia Aseeva "The Right to live without pain"was opened In the fortress gallery "Bastion". It will last until 11 October. During the exhibition, will be holding a fundraiser for terminally ill children palliative Carpathians.
The exhibition will be held for the world day of palliative care, with financial support of International Fund "Renaissance".
At the opening of the exhibition was held a press-conference on the theme: "Sharing the care" with participation of heads of regional state administration, healthcare institutions, public organizations and doctors.
The Director of the Department of health administration Myron Matejko remarked: "Looking at these pictures, we understand the importance of palliative care. Doctors face this problem very often. When the budget is developed by program to support palliative care in the region, thanks to which will solve the problems of palliative care, to increase funding in this direction in medicine."
Rusya Aseeva says that several years have documented the everyday life of children's oncological departments of hospitals and palliative patients in the offices of the adult hospice in Ivano-Frankivsk and Kiev. The aim of the exhibition is not only to talk about the problems of palliative care, but also an attempt to raise the issue of solving these problems to the public and state level. We must realize that a seriously ill person has the right to a decent life, a life without unbearable pain and hardship.
During the opening of the exhibition a video was shown "That people think of palliative care?". As we understand the concept of "hospice", "palliative patients", "palliative care" or "palliative care team" shown in the theme video.
During the event were discussed topical issues of palliative care in the region. Also participants had the opportunity to help critically ill children, in particular, to leave money for maintaining them in a box of donations.
