For over 10 years Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Clinical Palliative Care Centre has been collaborating with Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. As of 2011 by order of Ministry of Health of Ukraine our institution holds the status of clinical learning centre. In cooperation with various University Departments our training centre is conducting seminars and conferences as well as providing Palliative Care trainings for family doctors, Heads of Medical Institutions, nurses and social workers. From 03 to 12 October training centre will partner with Pediatrics of Refreshing Faculty Department to conduct thematic refreshment sessions on Pediatric Palliative Care for Pediatricians, Pediatric Oncologists, Pediatric Hematologists and Pediatric Neurologists. Both Ukrainian and International Professionals are invited to participate in these sessions. Participants of the sessions cycle will receive the Advanced Training Certificate. Essentially, such thematic refreshment sessions will be conducted in Ukraine for the first time.

Foundation "Mother Teresa" and volunteers of the Regional Center of Palliative Care in the period from 03 October to 3 November will hold a series of activities to celebrate the World Day of palliative care, which is planned to raise funds in support of palliative patients of concern retreat / advisory department of the Regional Center of Palliative help. We invite all concerned to take part in our events. During the celebration of the World Day of palliative care training center from 3 to 14 October will host a series of thematic improvement for children's medical health facilities Ukraine. And all members of the training cycle will take part in our activities in support of palliative care. In addition, the Foundation "Mother Teresa" support the initiative of the International Association of Palliative Care and is included in the nationwide action «Hats on for CPC» - Wear hats palliative care for children. All events will be held with the support of program initiatives "Public Health" International Renaissance Foundation.

Training on "Pastoral care of the sick. The philosophy of palliative care. Features spiritual support and psychological support in palliative care" was held in the conference hall in Outbound Department of the Regional Clinical Palliative Care Centre for priests, hospital chaplains. The training was held last week with the financial support of International Fund "Renaissance"

From 08 to 10 August in the educational-methodical center of Ivano-Frankivsk regional clinical palliative care centre held a 3-day training on "Organization and provision of palliative care to children." Medical workers of the Chernigiv children's polyclinic № 1 participated in the training. The programme included a meeting with the leadership and staff of hospice and the visiting Advisory Department to learn from the experience and read the documentation.

5-day training course on "Organization and provision of palliative help to children" was held from 04 to 08 of July in the educational-methodical center of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Clinical Palliative Care Centre. Psychologists, social and medical workers of medical institutions, children's homes and boarding schools, which provide palliative care to children in Kharkov, Kiev, Ternopil, Priluki, Chernigov, Zaporozhye, Lvov took part in the training. The training was held with the financial support of programming initiatives "Public health" International Fund "Renaissance".
