Thematic improvement occurred for children's doctors of different specializations on the theme "Some questions of the organization and provision of palliative care to children." It was the first time in Ukraine. This study was conducted educational-methodical division of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center of Palliative Care and the Department of Pediatrics postgraduate Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University as part of their cooperation. The main purpose of this event was the implementation of the first steps for the development of pediatric palliative care. Education was held from 03/10/16 to 13/10/16, with the support of Foundation help incurable patients "Mother Teresa" and program initiatives "Public Health" International Fund "Renaissance".

World Day hospice and palliative care (World Hospice and Palliative Care Day) is celebrated every year on the second Saturday of October.
